Missing man's body found in Fairfax

The body of a Burke man missing since Sunday, July 6, was found by his friends this morning in a wooded area near Bonnie Brae Elementary School in Fairfax, according to Fairfax County Police.

Mark David Radcliffe, 31, was supposed to have traveled to Chicago on the day he disappeared. County detectives determined he had been "distraught" recently.

The death "appears to be self inflicted," said police spokeswoman Shelley Broderick.

Police did not disclose the means of death or if a weapon was found at the scene.

Foul play is not suspected, police said.
